Game Title: Halo Infinite

The rules & regulations of the Microsoft's Halo Infinite 2v2 Community LAN Event, stated in this document, applies to everyone participating in this event.

Each participant agrees to the Rules upon registration. Any participant that does not agree to these Rules should not register or participate.

The organising committee reserves the right to change or update the Rules at any time, and to modify or cancel some or all of the Competition, or any event, in its sole discretion, at any time.

1. Player Eligibility

A “Player” is any person who is registered on the roster for a team during the Microsoft’s Halo Infinite 2v2 Community LAN Event. Players must meet the following requirements in their entirety to be eligible to compete:


1.1. Required Account
Players must have a Microsoft account linked to an Xbox Live account in good standing. These Rules are in addition to the Microsoft Services Agreement, the Microsoft Privacy Statement, and any other policies or terms applicable to the use of Xbox Live in connection with any portion of the Competition (“Xbox Live Terms”).

1.2. Streaming
The event will be live streamed on Unrival and GAM3 channels.
By participating in the Event, Participants consent the organising committee to broadcast their gameplay and/or feature the participants in the live stream.

2. Ineligible Players

While the organising committee both allows and encourages Participants to express their individuality while participating in the Event, certain elements of customization must comply with basic restrictions as outlined in this section due to the possibility of their appearance on public channels including broadcast.

 

2.1. Name

A Name is any dynamic form of identification that Participants may designate for themselves to be identified during their participation in the Event, including but not limited to team names, player names or aliases, etc.

 

Participants are prohibited from choosing a Name that could be considered vulgar, discriminatory,
denigrating, or otherwise inappropriate. For example, Names may not include:
• Obscene or suggestive language;
• Name of a Corporation, company, sponsor, product, or services;
• Anything of political nature.

The Administration reserves the right to deny the use of any Participant submitted Name for use in any element of the Event.

 

2.2. Attire

Players shall not wear, carry or bear any items of a political nature, or which in the Administration’s opinion reflect unfavorably upon the Administration, Affiliates, or the Event. The Administration may request, at its sole discretion, the Participant to change into an appropriate attire; failure to do so, may result in the Participant’s immediate withdrawal from the event.

3. Code of Conduct

All Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on themselves, their team, tournament organiser, sponsors, attendees, and other Participants.


3.1. Cheating and Gameplay

No forms of cheating will be tolerated. This includes software modification, hardware modification, match fixing, hacking, exploiting game glitches, impersonation (including playing under another Player’s account), collusion, or any other behavior as determined by the Administrators or the tournament organiser, in their sole discretion, that gives any Player or team an unfair competitive advantage, or otherwise is not permitted. Participants may not intentionally delay or slow gameplay, including but not limited to stalling, disconnecting network cables, interruption of network connectivity, or any other known or unknown manner of tampering with gameplay.


3.2. Sportsmanship
Players must not use obscene gestures, language, or offensive comments during tournament activity. This includes:
● Hate speech or discriminatory behavior
● Violent or physical aggression or behavior
● Threats
● Sexual harassment of any kind
● Racist or sexist words, phrases, or gestures
● Extreme profanity
● Any “sound-alike” or “look-alike” words or phrases that reference these topics
● Any other type of conduct deemed inappropriate at the discretion of the Administration or tournament organiser All Players are expected to be respectful of the staff of the Administration, tournament organisers, sponsors and partners.

4. Competition Structure

4.1. Brackets

Teams will be competing in a Double-Elimination Bracket, Best of 1 game for playoffs. Initial placement matches will be determined by the Administrators or tournament organiser. Their decision is final. Teams who advance to the semis & finals will be competing in a Best of 3 games.

5. Gameplay Rules

Each series in the tournament will be subject to the following gameplay rules.
All matches will be played on Xbox Consoles with Xbox controllers.
Participants are free to use their own controller or Xbox console.


5.1. Game Size
All matches will be played 2v2.


5.2. Game Mode
All matches will be Slayer only. Teams must:
• Reach twenty five (25) points before the enemy Team; or
• Have more points than their opponent at the expiration of the game clock


5.2.1 Map
The maps for all matches will be predetermined by the Administrators or tournament
organiser.
The following maps will be used for the tournament:
● Aquarius
● Bazaar
● Live Fire
● Recharge
● Streets
Maps order/rotation will be predetermined by the Administrators or tournament organiser.


5.3. Game Settings
● 343 Industries’ Ranked Slayer
● First to 25 kills
● Round length: 12 minutes


5.4. Game Draws
In the event of a tie, both teams will play another round (not series), indefinitely, until one team is victorious.


5.5. Connection Issues
If a player disconnects during the first 30 seconds or before the first kill the map should be ended and restarted. If a player disconnects after the first 30 seconds or the first kill the map will continue and the player who dropped may rejoin the game.


5.6. Roster Lock
Your roster locks as soon as you join the tournament. You must play with the person who is registered in the same team for the tournament. No substitutions will be allowed throughout the tournament.

6. Prizes

Final event specific prize pools are subject to change by the tournament organiser.
